Dynamic Duos #57 {Sharing in Your Sorrow}

Happy Saturday crafty PEEPS! Welcome back to my blog and another challenge over at Dynamic Duos! This week we have a gorgeous combination of Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black and you can add a neutral of your choice. There is also a dessert option this week: plant theme....

I really enjoyed making this card as I was cyber crafting with my bestie, Leanne a few weeks agoand it always is more fun when you can hook up online and giggle while getting inky! ;)

I wanted to make a sympathy card for a lady I know in our neighborhood. Her Mom passed away a couple weeks ago from cancer and she was with her, by her side, every single day throughout her battle and made her transition to heaven such a smooth, happy one. ♥♥

I used a couple older SU! sets that haven't seen the light of day for quite some time! Upsy Daisy and Thoughts & Prayers ... then made some flowers with MFT Dienamics for the embellishment.

I hope you take some time to come and sit and play with us girls this week - I cannot wait to see all the creations made with this combination.....link up your cards, 3D projects or scrapbook layouts HERE!

Happy "Twisted Tuesday!" In honor of Father's Day, the gals over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges want you to make a masculine creation. The "twist?" ..... we want to see clothes on your creation - this can be in the image you choose, the papers you design with or if you are doing scrap layouts, on the people in your pictures :D

They will be giving 7 free images to our June winner!!!!

For my card this week, I knew EXACTLY what stamp set/die I wanted to use for this challenge! I dug out my Masculine Graphic T-Shirt stamp set and dienamic from My Favorite Things and went to work....

I used white embossing powder on the t-shirt to make it pop and added the stitching with a white gel pen. The papers are from the Celebrate 6x6 pad from Authentique....perfect masculine colors!

I used my Fishtail Flags die also from My Favorite Things and added some black pearls at the bottom of the card for the finishing touch. Quick, easy card :D

Dynamic Duos #55 and CAS-ual Fridays #103 {Congratulations!}

Happy Saturday!! Are you ready for another GORJUSS color duo from Dynamic Duos?! This one is such a pretty combination:

I have to say a huge shout-out to my wonderful friend, Diane, who gave me some of this new gorgeous color, Raspberry Ripple! I will definitely be ordering more of it - it's such a rich, pretty color and it goes perfectly with Wisteria Wonder:

My card incorporates a couple different sets of stamps: for the butterflies, I used SU!'s set called Butterfly Prints, and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches called Simply Said. The Raspberry Ripple layer is dry embossed with the new-to-me Chevron embossing folder and I also used a MFT die for the scallop trim at the bottom of the Wisteria Wonder layer.

Whatchya think?! Pretty gorgeous combination right?!

I am entering my card into CAS-ual Fridays for their "Congratulations" challenge this week!

You wanna get inky with us? Come on over and link up your creation HERE. Have a fabulous weekend!

4 CCC #144 {Recycle}

Welcome back!! Today is Thursday and that means a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks!

This month there are 5 Thursdays so that means this week is our special "Crazy Egg" Challenge. The four of us Chicks decided on the following theme as our challenge:

4 CCC #144 {Recycle}

That means you can have a project that reflects recycling, the 3 R's etc. or you can use recycled products on your card, scrapbook page or 3-D item :) This challenge is always so interesting for us - sometimes we cannot BELIEVE what creativity comes of it :)

For my card, I recycled some cardboard and then crimped it for extra texture and used up some other card stock for the smaller butterfly on top :)

I sure hope you get some time to go through your recyclables and get crafty with us!! Be sure to link up your project HERE! Happy crafting (and recycling!!)

Twisted Tuesdays Challenge {School's Out!}

Happy "Twisted Tuesday!"

I sure hope you are all having a super dooper week so far. The challenge this week over at Twisted Tuesday Challenge Blog is SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! So, we want to see children on your projects and the "twist" is we want to see some of the color YELLOW on your project! I *almost* missed the "twist" of this challenge and forgot the yellow, but I hadn't colored his shirt yet - WHEW!!! Saved! :)

This cutie-patootie is Fisherman Luka from La-La Land Crafts. Isn't he adorable and oh-so-ready for summer?! I stamped him on X-press Blend It paper and colored him in with Copics and fussy-cut him out - he's popped up with foam squares for added dimension. The paper pack I used for the background and chevron stripes is called "boy crazy" by MME. I made the sentiment on my computer, printed it out on Sahara Sand card stock and cut it out with my MFT Fishtail flags. The final touch was some pearls and WA-LAAA!

I am entering my card into Paper Issues Challenge this week: To "Die" For

I hope you can get inky with us this week at Twisted Tuesday Challenges ... pop on over and see what the rest of the girls have for ya! Thanks for stopping in today. Happy crafting! :)

Dynamic Duos Challenge #54

Welcome to another Dynamic Duos Saturday challenge!! This week's color combo is such a pretty one - I love BLUE and so it wasn't too difficult to come up with an idea for my card this week :)

For my card, I started with a white card base, layering the darker blue and another white panel with the top half dry embossed with my new Chevron folder from Stampin' Up! and the bottom sentiment, also from Stampin' Up! called Perfectly Penned, on the bottom half.

For the main focal point, I used set of flower dies and the new-to-me Flourish Dienamic from My Favorite Things popped up with foam dots :) I added a pearl to the center of the flower and top corners of the card. So pretty! :D

I am entering my card into Paper Issues "Lifestyles to Die For"

I really do hope you get the chance to play along with us this week! Here are the rest of the Dynamos links - check out the amazing projects they have created for you to oogle over :) The Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog link is there for you as well - be sure to link up your creation for us to leave YOU some love! 4 CCC # 143 {Critters}

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday!!

Can you believe that May is almost over?!? Where in the world does the time go? One more month and the kids are outta school (can I get a HECK YA?!) lol....it means a lot less driving for me and a few sleep in's coming my direction!!

As some of you might know, I ran my Woody's RV 10K Race this past Sunday in Red Deer with my friend, Diane, and I just want to toot our horns for a minute if I may...

Here we are about 10 mins after we were done and gathered our much-deserved snacks! :D We totally rocked out this run this year (compared to last year) This year I came in at 1:14:36 which was 6 mins off my time from last year! We kept a speed pace of 5.01 mph average and did an 11:39 min/mile. I am so stoked to see how much I take off next year! Thanks again, Diane, for all the training, tears, joy and sweat along this journey so far - and just to warn ya, it's not over!!! ;)

Alright - onto the business at hand! LOL...This week, it is my turn to play hostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks and I'm challenging all you crafty PEEPS to use "CRITTERS" on your cards, scrapbook pages, or 3-D items! I ordered a new line of stamps a while back from Paper Smooches and let me just say this: C-U-T-E!!!! This suave kitty is from the "Chubby Chums" set - way too much fun :)

Thanks for stopping in today. Please be sure to link up your creation at the 4 Crafty Chicks blog so that I can enjoy all your wonderful critters!! Later gators!

Dynamic Duos Challenge #53

Happy Saturday PEEPS!! Are you ready for another Dynamic Duos challenge?

I have to admit, I don't use Pacific Point much (well, ok, hardly AT ALL!) lol so this challenge was good for me - broke me out of my comfort zone and I think it turned out ok :) The theme for this week is also "KID-THEMED" so that was not a problem for me using my new set from Paper Smooches, Chubby Chums. The ric-rak background stamp is from My Favorite Things....

I wanted to go with a CAS layout - so started with Black as my base, added the white layer already stamped with the ric-rak and sentiments in Pacific Point. Fussy cut out my cutie cow and popped him up on some circles cut out with nesties. Added black pearls in the corner and walaaaaa!!!

Be sure to hop on over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog to check out what the other Dynamos did with this awesome color combo/theme :) Happy crafting!!

4 CCC # 141 - Melissa's Funky Color Challenge

Miss Melissa is our "hostess extraordinaire" this week and she is issuing the following COLOR challenge for you:

I must admit this color challenge really, really stretched me to the outer limits of my creativity! Way to go, Melissa! Leanne was here visiting a few weeks back and we did the challenge at the same time and let me tell ya, we BOTH were thinking "hmmmm....is this gonna turn out ok?" And alas, they turned out AWESOME! Thanks for making us step out of our crafty comfort zone, Mel!

I used an older CAS(E) this Sketch layout for my card and switched it up a bit for my stamp. I added the sentiment all the way down the main panel using Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler once again...love, love, love these stamps!!

Here's my card using Melissa's color combo and the sketch:

The Razzleberry is there in the button and the 4th YOU ROCK down from the top ;) Please give this color combo a try - it looks really good once they are all together on a project!! Cheers!!
